They say the wages of sin are death, but it would appear that prayer doesn’t exactly help you either. In Clackamas County, Ore., a couple has been charged with murder after allowing their 15 month old child to die of a treatable infection. The reason they failed to get the child medical attention is that they were waiting for “prayer” to cure her. The couple are Followers of Christ Church in Oregon how have a history of choosing faith healing over medical care. This is sad considering it is not the only case of the same offense in recent weeks.

An 11 year-old girl in Wisconsin was allowed to die after her parents failed to seek medical attention, instead opting to wait and see if prayer would heal her. It didn’t work and the girl is now dead.

This more reason to question faith, question the efficacy of prayer. Question god.
