Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth made a pretty silly statement today or at least in my opinion. He challenged blogger Larry Handlin by saying
“Why Not Criticize ‘Gay’ Public Sex Enablers rather than me?”
He follows this tirade with:
Here’s a little exchange I had with St. Louis-based homosexual writer Larry Handlin of the liberal blog “Archpundit.” Handlin calls me “Petey” - something he learned in Putdown School - and he restates the tired “gay” cliche of me and Americans For Truth as “obsessed,” purient perverts because we expose homosexual excesses - like the organized public “cruising” network that is part of Sen. Larry Craig’s current sex scandal. Here’s the exchange on Handlin’s blog:
You can read the rest of this at Americans for Truth because it is a pointless for me to show it. This whole challenge thing makes me so much more aware of how blind Peter LaBarbera has become to this oppression he contributes to with these terms like “perverts” and claiming to expose the homo. It creates a climate where people fear being gay, fear losing everything if people knew they were gay. Guess where that leads them….married and hanging out in public places hoping to get laid.
The same climate of public sex that Peter is bitching about happens to be the same climate he help create. It is an ugly cycle that has no end and destroys lives. Lets take a look at the diagram shall we:
As you can see from the diagram, Peter is one of the “Enablers of public sex!” I challenge Peter to visit craigs list and post on his site all of the ads for heterosexuals looking for “hook ups”. This would then show his readers that gay men are just a part of a larger problem. Then I would request he tell us the whole truth for a change and explain to his readers who are these men having sex in public are and why they are there!
It should read something like this:
the men getting arrested are closeted gay men afraid to come out of the closet
they are afraid to come out because many people are hostile to gays and lesbians calling them perverts, unnatural and dangers to society.
While hiding in the closet, they still have attractions to men, they try to fulfill the emptiness of their lonely lives in the closets by have sex in the shadows.
They were pushed into the shadows by people who call this unnatural, call gays perverts, etc……
So….lets have it Peter. Take the challenge.

CNN interviewed the head of Atlanta’s Hartsfield airport security to ask about their recent restroom sting operations, which have netted 45 “CEO’s, bank presidents, and college professors” among others. To his credit, the airport cop says, “You would think that it would be a gay issue but overwhelmingly, more and more, we’re seeing that these are people with families.”
