THE TRUTH IS THE TRUTH EVEN IF DENIED

Sadly, I read that Stacy Harp, even in the mist of clear evidence, still believes gays and lesbians are out to “get” Dr. Dobson. She really doesn’t want to see the evidence that is in front of her. He lied about the research, he stole another writers’ work without credit, and he misrepresented research for his own agenda. I am not sure how Stacy can still support a man who is doing this, but she is.

I am sure she has her reasons, but I am baffled as to what those could be. I like Stacy, I think she has a good heart, but she needs to let go of this notion that the right is “doing” the right thing all the time, because they are not. They might have the best intentions, but they are going about it all wrong. If you want a moral ends, you need a moral means. The evidence is coming out of the closet along with some of the memebers of the right. Soon, when the smoke clears, all that will be left is the truth about what has happen. The religious right lied about gays and the evidence of that is no longer deniable.

I hope She sees soon, that opposing homo’s doesn’t mean supporting lies. You can be opposed to gays without resorting to lies and deceptions. I would respect those who can oppose gays based on a religious truth more than those who oppose us on scientific lies.

Yes, it is a mystery how she can accept that he is a plagiarizer and misused the research of others. She can deny it all she wants, but that is what he did. Period.

Her attitude reminds me of the people who believed the earth was flat and the center of the universe, despite the scientific knowledge that proved otherwise.

Realize the Catholic Church apologized for how the Galileo affair in 1992. I’m starting to think we’ll have a similar time lapse unfortunately.

Realize of course that the right really is on the idea that their cause and movement is noble, is supported and ran by God’s will, and that we’re trying to destroy them and civilization with them. If they can’t imagine that they might be wrong, the means of bringing people to their side doesn’t really bother them, as long as the result turns out in their, or who they consider God’s, favor. The only person that truthfully needs to apologize for this is James Dobson, but of course he’s been completely silent so far.

I think she has it backwards. Gays aren’t out to get Dobson. Dobson’s out to get gays.

Dobson has been silent, but I see one of his associates wrote something on it the other day. It doesn’t say very much, except something about the researchers being wrong about their own work (or something to that effect!).

Hi, Joe. I think Stacy answered you aptly with this bit of information that was completely irrelevant to the question at hand:

The fact that she and Dr. Dobson agree that it is wrong (and gross) to put a penis in an anus is all she needs. Everything else is just filler.

You’ll notice she has completely steered clear of the accusations of plagarism and misuse of research. She hasn’t tried to answer those claims and she’s said she doesn’t think she needs to. All very telling. There was a post today @ exgaywatch about how some right wing Christians live in a parallel universe where they make up their own basis for reality that really doesn’t have anything to do with the facts. Stacy is guilty of this time and time again.

I am amazed at how people get all sexual when talking about gays.

Geez when I see a straight couple, I dont wonder as to how they have relations.

And some straight couples do engage in anal sex. So quick question - when a straight couple has anal sex, does that make them gay?

Folks like Stacy forget, it’s none of their business what other people use their body parts for in the act of sex, as long as it’s not a forcible or violent act on someone.
Yep, straight folks use everything the same way gay folks do, except with the opposite sex.

Not every straight couple WANTS to risk pregnancy, so had to be creative in how to avoid making babies.
That, and it feels good.

I’m one of those straight people that knows there is a difference between gay folks and straight folks.
But not much. And certainly…yeah, CERTAINLY not enough to be hysterical about.
I am cringingly, excruciatingly EMBARRASSED by militantly WRONG straight people like Stacy.

Unless she and anybody else like her can read the original Aramaic of Biblical times, not only will I consider them considerably suspect about what they know their religion to mean.

And since they can’t read the plain English either, about how real gay people are-I can only conclude, unkindly, that some people prefer to be a horse’s ass if there is enough profit in being so.

The logic Mrs. Harp uses to defend her viewpoints is embarrassingly malconstrued. She, and many with her, select which parts of the Bible to use with regards to her views on homosexuality.

As far as I’m concerned, one cannot “oppose gays”. We are a fact of life, not a policy of government or a voluntarily formed organisation. Do I “oppose” straight people? No. It would be equally inane.

The reason why people like dobson will never admit he is wrong is because he is a religious sociopath. Sociopath are people who unlike psychopath know the difference between right and wrong they just don’t care. And Dobson doesn’t really care if he is wrong as those rules apply to you and me not him. The prophet of the mormon church is the same way he claims the church is true even when it isn’t, the church still has yet to appologize to the black community to teaching that blacks were the angels in heaven that stood on the sidelines while the Jehovah and his angels took on Samael and his angels. (Samael is the name of Lu cifer before he became the devil.)
