How strong is hate?

This is a comment left on Stacy Harp’s blog by a women known as Debra Smith. Even in the face of the Guy Adams scandal, she still won’t give into say Guy was wrong in saying “the new trend for gays is sleeping with infants”

Debra writes to Kevin:

But, I will say, get used to hearing the names Guy Adams and Debra J.M. Smith, as well as other names in the fight against the homosexual agenda in America. We are strong in our rights and we stand tall and we do not give into threats and pressure from the perverted community or their friends.

A pure example why we can never let this hate speech win. We must let the truth win.

ON a different comment Ms. Smith writes:

God’s people never lose. History has proven this time and time again. God will not be mocked. The wrath of God is no little thing. Hold on tight. You are in for the ride of your life. I believe God started you all on that ride back around 1980. Yes, He sure did. And that was just the first proverbial punch. If you choose to continue on that ride, don’t blame God when God’s wrath comes down on you.

A got news for Ms. Smith….gays and lesbians are God’s people! I have a heard time with the whole God’s wrath thing. I have more of a problem with it when people use it as a threat to others.

God’s wrath started around 1980?

This goes to show how ignorant she is. I presume she’s referring to AIDS, the disease that first emerged among humans in before 1959 and ravaged Africa unnoticed for two generations as a heterosexually transmitted disease before moving on to Europe and America.

Ignorance knows no bounds where issues of sexuality and orientation are concerned, especially when faulty religious beliefs are tossed into it. Alligning herself with Guy Adams flushed any credibility she might have had right down the toilet.

I just had someone email me to tell me that Debra Smith was a member of RenewAmerica (which explains why she seems to know Guy Adams so well). This person states that she was kicked out of that organization because she made comments that offended some Mormons…

I missed her posting since I have been on a bit of a holiday. I see that Stacy’s blog seems to be missing–did anyone manage to keep a copy of the post?
