I really do have faith in Stacy. We have talked via email many times and I think at heart she is a good person. Her apology just reinforces my beliefs that she is a good person!
Now, If we can get Mr. Adams to retract his statements. My faith in the world will be reinforced.
I applaud Stacy for admission of wrong! It takes courage to so that, and I support her fully in her apology! (I would support it more if she didn’t make exscuses for Mr. Adams claims.)
Stacy writes on her blog:
I would also like to offer my apologies to the gay community for any hurt or harm that my actions may have inadvertantly caused you. I have learned a valuable lesson and will be more careful in the future with the guests I allow on my program.

After reading a comment by an individual I respect, I have to agree that Stacy’s apology wasn’t suffient. I also agree with the reasons it isn’t suffient.
I do still believe that Stacy has a good heart, but to quote the song “even the best fall down sometimes”. I would hope that Stacy hears the comments and thoughts and reacts in the right way.
UPDATES: 5:52 PM
I have just seen on Stacy’s blog under the comments of her apology that many do not feel her apology was sincere or good enough. I do believe it was sincere, but I agree it just wasn’t good enough.
Sadly, someone named “Debra” left comments appluading Guy Adams. That reminds me exactly why we need this to be pointed out to people. People actually do listen to this rubbish and some actually do believe it.
I would ask Stacy to write a real apology, one that defends no one and owns up to the truth. Guy Adams remarks (all of them) were undefendable.

Sorry Joe, I don’t consider that an apology, but more an attempt at damage control. She apologies for having him on her show, yet went on to defend his comments. Then she goes on to recite her lame research which she claims she learned from watching testimony from a sniveling, conniving liar who can’t accept responsibility for his own foibes and seeks to have others pay for them.
Give me a break.

Joe, I would have to agree with you. I just read her apology and most of it sounded sincere. However, she did state:
“At the same time, I think it is important to make sure everyone understands that Guy said it was a growing trend with a small group of homosexuals.”
I don’t believe Guy said this was in a ’small group’ of homosexuals. He just said it was a growing trend. Regardless, I think it is great that Stacy put this out there.

Lately I have been dealing with Debra Smith. You can read all of her ‘christian’ views on gays and lesbians here (http://www.debrajmsmith.com/sexuallysinful.html)
She fits in nicely with D.L. and Guy Adams.
