Letters From Guy: He declares WAR

I woke up this morning to find a bunch of emails from Guy Adams reinforcing his claim the gays are in fact having sex with infants. I have cut and paste them into a page. I have not altered them in anyway, I am not sure I pasted them in order, but you will see his words and know this man is not acting from a place of love, but a place of anger.

READ GUY’S EMAILS

I feel sorry for Mr. Adams. It must be rough having all that anger to carry around with you. For him, that anger has become hate. His claims that he is not advocating violence against GLBT people are false. He may not realize this, but he needs to see it.

Here is my final email to Mr. Adams in reply to the ones he has sent me through the night:

Guy,
You sent me 4 emails within 20 minutes. All of them say about the same
thing.   You claim you have the moral highground, but I have already told
you. There is no moral highground.   Not everyone can have the truth and
they don’t.

Gays are not having sex with infants as a trend, Stacy has studied the
research or so she claims. I am sure she call tell you that is a lie. You
are using lies and rumors to dehumanize an entire group of people.    That
is wrong.

As for painting you a picture of gays.   It would be a boring picture.   I
cut the grass today and took out some pork chops for dinner.   I worked for
a few hours and now I am checking my email.   As you can see it is pretty
boring. When my partner gets home, we ususally take our dogs to the park,
and we do a three mile walk, weather permiting.    Not all that exciting is
it?    Then we will come home and jump on the computers for a few hours.
Then we go to bed, wake up and do it again.     Boring as “sin” right?

As I remember it correctly, You contacted me via my website. Whatever you
are trying to say otherwise, is a lie.

I find it so nice, your god has nothing better to do them condemn
homosexuals. That is interesting, but we don’t live in a country where God
makes the laws.   People do and I don’t want anything to do with a god of
fear, my god is a god of truth and love, not fear.

You have a nice day!

And stop emailing me.

I have some emails to send you Joe.
One is the obit for a pioneering doctor on women’s psychology. The other is an article on the release of a convicted murderer.
When he was a teen, a friend threatened to out him to his parents and subjected him to anti gay slurs.

In the minds of the anti gay, they wouldn’t consider the threat from the victim a threat at all.
But one threat escalated into another.
It would be hard for them to discuss the fact that acceptance all around, that of the victim and that of the gay boy’s parents wouldn’t have motivated the slurs or the blackmail.
And a tragedy would have been averted.

Anyway, I was thinking about the Gay Games…and all the Olympic champions like Greg Louganis and Randy Gardner who have come out.

I look at Esera Tuolo and aces like Martina Navratilova and the young jack player Muresmo and think to myself…athletic prowess denotes mental prowess as well.
We love athletic champions.
There shouldn’t be a GAY Games anyway.
But contests that integrate the best and brightest, period.

Whenever I see the footage of Jesse Owens blowing past the ‘master race’ like a rocket, I think the straight world, by continuing to isolate and/or violate gay people now, just like the white world then, keeps shooting itself right through the head.

I gotta tell you Joe, this guy sounds a bit unhinged. I don’t believe that he speaks for Christ or for Christianity as a whole.

Guy is constantly complaining that gays and lesbians are trying to silence him and his ‘church’ but when we allow his comments to be spread and aired, then he complains we are misrepresenting him!!! He will never be satisfied until we are all wiped out.
And Regan–do you have a blog? I would love to read it! :)

hmmmm….maybe Guy should recieve a mass of emails from gay people describing their day, or perhaps their average routine?

It would be pretty easy to organize.

Joe, while I’m not a cop or a lawyer, I was a County Social Worker. I did get threats directed my way on several occasions, both verbal and written.

To me, his emails are close, if not in fact, what are called “terrorist threats,” comments that are designed to intimidate and provoke fear through insinuations of violence. That’s a crime in Los Angeles. I’ve forwarded less on to law enforcement for follow-up.

I don’t know if he’s violated any Federal laws, but if nothing else, I’d suggest you let the administrative head of Renew America know what was said from one of their accounts.

Even as much as they dislike gay people, there is no way they approve of such things being sent from their domain. Anything bad happens to you, and it’s their ass.

Don’t let this go.

Wonder if a cop look at it would it be worth sending this to the FBI or someone? Perhaps this man should be investigated? Perhaps Mr. Alan Keyes does need to know about it.

So it’s war is it? This guy has completely lost it. I have never, nor will I ever, understand how our existance causes such people to become so completely looney. His absolute belief in what he says is alarming.

Joe, listen, this is a very clear case of this Guy making illegal threats against you (based, arguably, on your sexual orientation). I am an attorney who has worked within GLBT political circles and I must ABSOLUTELY encourage you to report these e-mailed threats to: your local police department; the FBI (b/c of the ‘interstate’ nature of using the internet to transmit threats); and various GLBT equality groups (who will use their internal legal resources to evaluate whether to recommend any specific legal actions/protections should be taken in response to this dangerous bigot) - such as HRC, NGLTF, and John Aravosis (DC GLBT activist and AmericaBlog director). I would also contact the ACLU and share these e-mailed threats to them as well.
You should absolutely NOT ignore or do nothing with these threats - and should in fact take defensive action - for 2 *very* important reasons: to protect yourself from extremely volatile words and actions from an extremely volatile and dangerous person (and those others who are empowered by his hateful threats); and also for every single other GLBT person in this country, whose safety is further eroded by such vicious threats that encourage and embolden small-minded, dangerous bigots everywhere (do not forget that matthew shepherd was murdered by two boys who went to church and were surrounded all their lives by hateful words similar to those this Guy is publicly throwing around like daggers). Please, Joe, defend yourself and your gay and lesbian brothers and sisters.

Apologies for posting length, not sure what kinda commands this thing’ll accept for cuts and such.

I saw the link here from another blog, and wanted to post some info I found. I get mad seeing this kinda stuff happen, but I can’t do much from my home here in Ohio. Perhaps some of this info will be helpful if you wanna try to have this guy’s threats and vitriol be dealt with appropriately.

A note for those inclined to follow up. The Cook County Board of Commisioners passed an ordinance in 1993 that banned discrimination based on:

“race, color, sex, age, religion, disability, national origin, ancestry,
sexual orientation, marital status, parental status, military discharge
status, source of income, gender identity, or housing status.”

The ordinance might not cover such actions, but the sherriff’s office this guy serves in is managed by the Cook County Board of Commisioners.

They also have a human rights commission that deals with complaints about abuses that would fall under the act and other concerns related to rights violations.

Someone from Illinois might be able to take it up with them and see what they have to say. It would certaintly provide a lesson in responsible speech and equality if this guy were officialy reprimanded over his behavior.

Guy Adams is far more than a deranged nut case; he is also an Illinois deputy sheriff. That makes him very dangerous and his threats very real. Please report him; we need to get this man off the force and in serious therapy as soon as possible.
