Logic has ceased to be

I read in Joe’s last post that DL Foster said

“While homosexuals exult over historical findings of homosexuality in ancient cultures they fail to see the obvious danger. All cultures which accepted and practiced homosexual pedophilia, particularly the Greco-Roman, vanished. The sordid images of pedastry left through iconography stand as grim reminders to the contemporary western world that such vile acceptance of the institutionalized abuse of young boys will end in destruction.”

Firstly, as is usual in DL Fosters circles, homosexuality is immediately equated with pedophilia. The organisations whose websites make for such good reads when you need something ridiculous to read time on time again “prove” that gay men disproportionally account for the molestation of young boys - a claim this page properly refutes.

Secondly, DL Foster apparantly single-handedly works out that pederasty (and thus homosexuality?) lead to the destruction of civilizations. The logic is thus as follows:

The Greeks and Roman practiced pederasty
The Greek and Roman empires were destroyed
Pederasty causes the destruction of empires

Following the same line of thinking, one may conclude:

If you’re hurt, you cry
Fish do not cry
Fish cannot be hurt

It’s insane! A common denominator between several civilisations that have disappeared doesn’t prove a causal link! Both the Romans and the Greeks worshipped the Olympians. Who is to say that didn’t cause their destruction? Or the fact that they both border the Mediterrenean Sea?

Empires and civilisations come ago, as they always have. The Roman Empire lasted from 31 BC with the coronation of Augustus until the fall of Constantinople in 1453 - that’s nearly 1500 years. The United States has “only” existed for 230 years. When will these people learn that correlation does NOT establish a causal link?

Some fish live in the ocean. Does living in the ocean make you a fish?

He’s pathologically obssessed with gay males…but he’s wrong on the incidence of presumed gay males and young boys.

He’s not too fixated on females in this equation with presumably hetero males. Whether it’s between young teen males and females of their near age, or much much younger.

In any case, what Roman civilization or Greek one was destroyed?
The ancient ones were DIMINISHED by excess of reach into other nations and the enslavement of Greeks by Romans.

Not entirely destroyed.
And last we all know…ROME is still there. So is the Coliseum and the political structure of Democracy is practiced HERE.
The influence of Greek culture thrives in many nations to this day.

The slave issue nearly tore THIS country apart.
And what threatens this country most is ignorance and apathy and preoccupation with material and conspicuous consumption.
Five young males, most likely all black were murdered in a single night of firefight in New Orleans.

Gang activity in America, coupled with domestic violence and the illicet human smuggling that dovetails with commercial sex and drug trades have caused an excess of over 16,000 single year casualties.

That is akin to the casualties of war.
And yet, people are concerned with gays who want to marry, serve openly in the military or any other life of merit gay people offer society.

Our country is burning down from criminals integrated and who fuel plenty of other indulgences like corporate greed and the insatiable need for cheaper and cheaper virtual slave labor, subsidized by public taxes.
Drug use, and the male animals sexual appetites for females mostly, in trade for immigration.

Of all of these indulgences…he’s on and on and on about gay males and what he thinks they are doing.
Gay males didn’t shoot those kids down in the streets of NO.
And they don’t here on the streets of Los Angeles.
Or New York..or Washington, D.C.
Gay men and lesbians aren’t abandoning millions of kids to foster care and welfare rolls.

I see why the problem persists and has no resolution.
Ministers like Foster fiddle, while the urban streets burn with violence!

It’s far easier to attack a group already being spat upon by so many than start any meaningful dialogue.

DL doesn’t know his history. The Greeks and the Romans did not just vanish–the Romans may have defeated the Greeks, but the Romans took over so much of the Greek culture that it was hard to tell them apart, especially in the East. The same for the Roman civilization–they did not just disappear. The West is a direct heir of the Romans. DL has no knowledge of history–neither Roman, Greek nor Christian history.
And speaking of pedastry, a court in Colorado just said that a 15 year old girl could have gotten married at 15, and indeed, the state of Colorad follows English common law, which allows girls at 12 and boys at 14 to marry.
