After reading the book, Hostage at the Table, I immediately started to add some of the ideas about connection and dialog to my NVC workshops. George Kohlrieser explains how we don’t need to like the person we are having a conflict with, we don’t need to agree with them either. We do need to connect with what is going on with that person. We have better chances of getting to the heart of things when we ditch the enemy images. All ideas that fit well with the process of Nonviolent Communication. Watch the video:
